Chicken coops need to be functional, but why not add a touch of style with our shepherds hut inspired chicken coop. Made out of strong recycled plastic, the front panels are 12mm thick and the walls are 9mm, while the roof is 6mm. The unit sits on rollable heavy duty castors that make it easy to move this coop around.

The roof can easily be removed to aid cleaning. There are sliding air vents on the front, back and sides plus ventilation where the roof meets the sides.

Assembly

The body and roof are all pre-assembled, but to save you delivery costs, all you need to do is slot the nest boxes into the back and clip the wheels on. Then you're ready to roll.

Delivery

Your shepherds hut chicken coop arrives securely wrapped on a pallet. Delivery from order is typically 2 to 4 working days.

Chicken Coop Details

Ventilation

Ventilation - there are two sliding air vents on the front and back of this coop, but to ensure the health and comfort of your chickens, there is under-roof ventilation across the whole width of this coop on both sides.

Nest boxes

This coop features two nest boxes accessed through two egg shaped holes. Aswell as looking good, chickens like the privacy and darkness of these nest boxes while laying eggs

Front door

The robust and colourful front hatch freely slides up and down within the frame. You can manually open it and clip it to an integrated hook in the front roof rib. Alternatively, if you plan to install an automatic chicken door opener, just reverse the door panel, unbolt the door frame and install it on the outside of front panel. All bolt holes perfectly line up ensuring quick and easy adaptation.

Roof

The roof can be fully removed by unclipping each pin and lifting the roof off

Floor

A full-width floor keeps litter and shavings under control. Without needing to take the roof off or side panels out, the floor can be slide out by unattaching two clips and pulling the small panel off below the front door hatch.

Cleaning

To make this coop look like new again and for coop hygiene, just wash with a brush and soapy water and hose down. For stubborn stains, a jet wash works even better.

Plastic?

Plastic performs far better than wood. Not only will this recycled plastic last far longer than wood and need no maintenance or painting, but it helps to reduce and eradicate infections of red spider mite. This blood-sucking parasite likes hiding in cracks and crevices - common in wooden coops. Red Spider mite will have hard job trying to get a grip on the slippery surfaces of this house. Plus cleaning this coop is easier than a wooden one.

Assembly

The main body and roof is pre-built but the nest boxes need to be slotted together and then slotted into the rear panel. The axles need pushing through the pre-drilled holes and wheels slid on and clipped in. No screws and no tools are needed - apart from a few taps of a mallet. Then you’re all good to roll-it around.
